WATCH: Stephen Colbert Shaves ‘Colbeard’ In First Late Show Promos

Stephen Colbert is back.

After leaving his Comedy Central show for a new gig hosting CBS’s “The Late Show,” his first online promos appeared online Wednesday.

“Good news, I still exist,” a bearded Colbert said in in a video, while chowing down on a hot dog before shaving off the facial hair, which he said “made the cover of Homeless Sea Captain Monthly.”

He also debuted a satirical “Serial”-style true crime podcast, with the first 20-minute long episode “In the bad room with Stephen” available for download, and a brand-new @ColbertLateShow Twitter account.

The online rollout also included an iOS app cringingly dubbed Colbr.

David Letterman’s last show was May 20. Colbert is set officially take the reigns Sept. 8.

Seems he’s been watching Community episodes.

  4. So does he dye his hair or do some folks’ hair and beard really differ that much in greyness? Just curious because I know a guy whose head hair is fairly still the color it’s been the 30 years I’ve known him but his mustache is almost completely grey and I wonder about it. I’m not quite that grey but all my body, facial and head (of what’s still there!) hair is all pretty much matching in color.
