Sports Columnist Bill Conlin Retires Amid Accusations Of Child Sex Abuse

Bill Conlin, award-winning sports columnist for the Philadelphia Daily News retired abruptly Tuesday when it was announced that the Philadelphia Inquirer was publishing a story alleging Conlin has sexually-abused children. The Inquirer reports that three women and a man say Conlin molested them as children in the 1970s. Conlin’s lawyer said Conlin wants to vindicate his name.
