Leaders from throughout South America will participate in an emergency meeting for Wednesday to discuss the rerouting of a plane carrying Bolivian President Evo Morales, Reuters reported.
Bolivia accused the United States of diverting Morales’s flight to Austria amid suspicion that the plane was carrying NSA leaker Edward Snowden to Latin America. Sacha Llorenti Soliz, the Bolivian ambassador to the United Nations, said a meeting has been called because “the dignity of Bolivia and the dignity of Latin America” are at stake.
