Sebelius: The Obamacare Marketplace Is ‘Working’

Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius on Wednesday said that the health insurance marketplace is working.

“The marketplace is working and people are enrolling,” she said in a press call. “In every part of our country, people are very interested.”

Sebelius’ statement followed an announcement of low health plan enrollment numbers during the first month, Oct. 1-Nov. 2.

Only 26,794 people selected an insurance plan through, the federal marketplace website, and 106,185 total selected a plan through state-run and federal marketplaces.
