Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) said Monday that he’d be willing to sign a 20-week abortion ban without exceptions for rape or incest, adding that women were mostly concerned about those issues “in the initial months” of pregnancy, television station WKOW reported.

“I mean, I think for most people who are concerned about that, it’s in the initial months where they’re most concerned about it,” Walker said of pregnancies caused by rape and incest.

“In this case, again, it’s an unborn life, it’s an unborn child and that’s why we feel strongly about it,” Walker said. “I’m prepared to sign it either way that they send it to us.”

On Tuesday, a public hearing on the bill featured testimony from women who have had abortions and medical experts. While the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate are expected to vote on the bill soon, none is scheduled.

Walker, a potential 2016 Republican presidential candidate, made news last week when he said ultrasounds were “pretty cool” while discussing Wisconsin’s mandatory ultrasounds for women seeking abortions.

  1. Scott Walker is an insult to the male gender.
I am waiting for some geek to invent software to allow me to reach thru a computer and punch this idiot in the nose.
I detest it when men (my own gender in fact) act like they understand stuff they have zero experience with.

It isn’t just his positions that are offensive (and they are), it is also his cavalier pronouncements on significant life events which should disqualify him for being considered as a serious presidential candidate. What is wrong with him?

  3. Walker is epically stupid and doesn’t recognize it.

  4. This will play well for him in the primaries, and then turn absolutely toxic in the general. It will be interesting to watch the contortions the eventual GOP candidate goes through to try and etch a sketch away all that the necessary things they will have to say to become the nominee.

  5. That’s right, Scottie.

Mansplain rape to those dumb bitches!
