Rick Santorum told reporters on Monday that the U.S. should apologize after a soldier on Sunday killed 16 Afghan civilians, nine of them children. “This was something that was deliberately done by an American soldier to innocent civilians,” Santorum said, according to NBC News. “It’s something that the proper authorities should apologize for.”
