Paul Ryan stressed that Mitt Romney’s position on abortion has not changed and that he and Romney are “unified” on the issue while speaking to reporters in St. Petersburg, Florida Wednesday, according to Politico.
“Our position’s unified. Our position is consistent and hasn’t changed,” Ryan said.
The question comes after Romney told the Des Moines Register Tuesday that “there’s no legislation with regards to abortion that I’m familiar with that would become part of my agenda.”
“No, No. Look, no positions have changed, our position is very consistent,” Ryan said, responding to a question about whether he was disappointed in Romney’s statement to the Register.
