Rupert Murdoch had some theories on Tuesday about a 400 pound African American woman who fell through a sidewalk in New York this week, speculating that perhaps anti-poverty programs were responsible for her accident.

Apparently realizing his response might be construed as a gratuitous attack that taps into stereotypes about race and class, Murdoch followed up with a second tweet a few minutes later.
Did not mean to beunsympathetic to 400 lb lady, but fact remains unhealthy eating by rich and poor driving up premiums for all.
