NBC Nightly News reported that “friends and colleagues” of Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. said the Illinois Democrat is being treated for alcoholism at a facility in Arizona. Andrea Mitchell also reported that Jackson’s wife texted NBC Chicago to say he is “not in rehab.”
A top Jackson aide told TPM that the report that Jackson was in rehab and being treated for alcoholism was not true.
