RNC Chairman Reince Priebus formally announced his campaign for re-election to the committee’s top spot Thursday in a letter and YouTube video out to RNC members, reports CNN.

In the letter, Priebus touts his successes as chairman over the past nearly two years and notes that he already has the support of 150 members of the 168-member body — far more than the 85 votes required for re-election.

From the letter:

This is not a decision I made lightly, but we have unfinished business and our country and Party need our leadership over these next two years. We were able to accomplish a great deal these past two years, and I have not forgotten just how much work we had to do when I was first elected. Over those two years we lifted the RNC out of the over $24 million of debt, we restored donor confidence and fielded one of the strongest Republican ground games in the history of our Party.
