Fundraising in anticipation of a Hillary Clinton 2016 run continued to grow in the first quarter of 2014: Ready for Hillary, the super PAC organizing a grassroots machine for a presumptive presidential campaign, reported that it raised $1.7 million from January through March.

Add that to the $4 million the group raised last year after its April 2013 founding, and Ready for Hillary has brought in more than $5.75 million toward its mission of building a volunteer base for what it hopes is an eventual Clinton campaign.

The group has now attracted more than 80,000 contributors in the last year, it said, adding 22,000 in the first quarter of 2014.
