House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement after having a phone conversation with blind Chinese human-rights lawyer Chen Guangcheng:
“This morning, I was honored to have a conversation with Mr. Chen at his request. I thanked him for his courage in fighting for legal and human rights in China, his view of his personal situation and the situation of his family and supporters, and I commended the Administration for moving his case forward.”
