Ohio asked the Supreme Court on Tuesday afternoon to overturn an appeals court ruling which prevented the state from taking away three days of early voting before Election Day. In an application to Justice Elena Kagan, Ohio requested that the nation’s highest court to stay the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling, which found it was unconstitutional to prevent voters from casting ballots during the three day period when military voters and voters who live overseas were allowed to vote. Alternatively, it asked the court to throw out the appeals court’s decision altogether.
