A November 28th InsiderAdvantage poll shows Newt Gingrich opening a huge lead in the South Carolina Republican Primary. Gingrich leads by about 23 points in the poll, garnering 37.9% support compared to 15.4% for the second-place Mitt Romney and 12.9% for the third-place Herman Cain.
InsiderAdvantage’s previous poll of South Carolina, conducted on November 8th, showed Gingrich in second place with 18.9% of the vote, ahead of Mitt Romney’s 16.1% and behind Herman Cain’s 25.6%.
The November 28th survey was conducted for Georgia’s “Augusta Chronicle” newspaper.
