Two active-duty Marines are being investigated for sharing a Facebook post threatening to attack gay bars days after the worst mass shooting in U.S. history at a Florida LGBT nightclub last weekend.

The post shows a Marine in uniform holding a rifle with his finger resting on the trigger; the words “Coming to a gay bar near you!” appear at the bottom of the image. Both the corporal in the photograph and the Marine who posted it on Facebook are now under investigation by the California-based Marine Expeditionary Force, according to a Thursday Marine Corps Times report.

The post appeared on Camp MENdleton resale, a private Facebook group for male Marines, along with the question “Too soon?” according to the Corps Times.

First Lt. Thomas Gray of the MEF told the site that the command is “taking this incident seriously.”

The shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida on Sunday left 49 dead and 53 wounded.

While the massacre has horrified the country, sparking calls for tolerance and unity, some have threatened copycat attacks. A Brooklyn man was arrested outside the Happyfun Hideaway gay bar in Bushwick Monday after warning he would “come back Orlando-style.” Police in Atlanta cleared a man for Twitter posts allegedly made by a different person on his account hinting that two local gay clubs “could be the next Orlando.”
