MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell provided an update on his recovery Sunday night, telling his followers on Twitter that he is now able to walk “short distances” without the use of a cane.
O’Donnell sent the tweet after he a boarded a flight to New York City. He had been undergoing physical therapy for the last seven weeks in California after suffering a car accident while on vacation in the British Virgin Islands.
On plane to NY. 7 weeks in CA has healed me. I can now walk without a cane. Short distances. Thanks to great Santa Monica phys therapists.

O’Donnell made an emotional return last month to his nightly program, “The Last Word.” He recounted his accident and even thanked the conservative benefactor David Koch for donating millions to the hospital where he was treated.
This is great news; good for him.
His and Rev Al’s shows are the only ones I really miss seeing on MSNBC.
Glad Lawrence is on the mend.
Isn’t that great? Now he can shuffle over to his nearest Koch brother and give him a hug.
Good news. I can relate, having recently undergone surgery and other therapies for orthopedic issues related to age and arthritis.
I miss Olbermann…
Lawrence upends the Sphinx’s riddle - “Which creature has one voice and yet becomes four-footed and two-footed and three-footed?” - by returning to being two-footed.
