“The Nightly Show” host Larry Wilmore on Wednesday confessed that as a space nerd he could not contain his excitement about a private company’s plan to send two dozen people to Mars in the not-so-distant future.
“Mars! That’s what I’m talking about,” he said. “Try to get us up there, ISIS, if you’re so bad.”
“You go, private enterprise!” Wilmore added, until he heard that the passengers to be selected will be getting a one-way ticket to the red planet.
The host was even less impressed when he heard news reports that MIT researchers expect the first death to occur within 68 days.
“This is a private company giving people a one-way ticket to certain death,” he said. “Who’s running this, Spirit Airlines?”
Wilmore then interviewed one of the people vying for a spot on the mission to Mars.

Has anyone been to the Mars One website (www.mars-one.com)?
I’m starting to think that no one has gone to the website… because if they had, they would see that there are zero chances this is going to happen.
Or to put it another way…
Mars One is an organization of 8 people. Eight. And of these 8, the majority of them have backgrounds in marketing or web design or art.
There are only 2 possible outcomes for this project: 1. No one is going to Mars. And 2. Someone will be getting rich.
Act accordingly.
