Kentucky Lt. Gov. Jerry Abramson (D) announced Monday that he and his wife, Madeline, now support marriage equality.
“I don’t believe government should judge which adults can and which cannot make a loving, life-long commitment to each other,” Abramson said in a statement to LeoWeekly. “That’s why both Madeline and I support marriage equality for all adults.”
Abramson joined a wave of Democrats, including some who represent red states, to pledge support for gay nuptials. Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD) also announced Monday that he’s “evolved sufficiently” to support same-sex marriage.
