Jon Stewart may have covered every bizarre moment of this year’s midterm election, but he didn’t cast a vote in it.

The host of “The Daily Show” told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour during an interview on Tuesday that he had abstained this year. But it wasn’t an ideological decision, he said.

“I just moved. I don’t know where my thing is now,” the comedian said, referring to a polling place.

In contrast, Stewart’s fellow Comedy Central star Stephen Colbert issued a full-throated injunction to his fans to vote, both on his show and on his Twitter account.

  1. Of course he didn’t. I am so sick of his preachy unfunny shit. I hope his movie is wildly successful so he lets someone funny takeover his time slot.

  2. Sh**ty excuse. Just lost a modicum of respect for the man.

  3. F’ you Jon. Your privilege is showing.

    Hipster politics suck. Seriously.

Maybe it’s time to rally to restore sanity to the Daily Show.

  4. Modicum?? I just lost a whole bunch more than that. Lame fucking excuse. Almost as bad as the dog ate my homework.
