Jailed Virginia Del. Joe Morrissey voted on Wednesday against a bill that would prevent inmates from possessing pornography while serving their time, television station WRC reported.

The proposed bill was approved by a majority, the station reported. Virginia wardens are said to endorse the bill in order to keep “hard-core” porn away from inmates.

Morrissey, a former Democrat turned independent, told WRC that the bill would be challenged and predicted that it wouldn’t hold up in court.

Morrissey, who was sentenced to six months in jail for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a former underage employee, goes to jail at night but continues to serve in the General Assembly during the day. He retained his seat via a special election on Jan. 13. Although he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge, he has insisted on his innocence.

  4. I bet jail porn involves laughing, beds more than 18 inches wide, and Quarter Pounders with Cheese.

I fully support this arrangement for many of the members of our federal government.
