The House Energy & Commerce Committee on Tuesday morning approved repeal of President Obama’s Medicare cost-cutting Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) by a voice vote. Democrats, who have been skittish about the panel, did not ask for a roll call vote.

It moves the GOP-led bill closer to a floor vote, and raises the stakes in the battle over Medicare.
