A 7-year-old Indiana boy died on Saturday after he was accidentally shot by his brother, police told the Associated Press.
Jaylin Miller was shooting moles on the family farm when his brother accidentally discharged the gun, Noble County Sheriff Doug Harp told the AP.
Miller was struck by a single shot and died Saturday afternoon, according to the AP. The police did not release the name or age of Miller’s brother.
I really just don’t get this belief among members of the gun tribe that guns are less dangerous than cars and thus appropriate for use by people they’d never hand the keys to.
Two lives ruined in one fateful second.
Killing moles with a gun, now that is a new one. I have seen people use pitchforks, traps, poison “worms”, but never a gun. Amazing.
Meanwhile, on the same day, in the same state, the NRA held its national convention, at which they opposed efforts that would reduce the level of gun violence that plagues our nation. If you think there is nothing that can be done to stop these “accidents” and other forms of gun violence, you are wrong. We can save lives. We just have to act. MomsDemandAction.org.
And don’t forget about C-4.
