Vice President Joe Biden warned President Obama that the military rationale for adding as many as 40,000 troops to the war in Afghanistan was flawed, according to a leaked memo printed in “Little America: The War Within the War for Afghanistan.”
The Associated Press obtained a copy of the book, which also reports that in planning the later drawdown of troops, the White House sidelined the CIA.
