Attorney General Eric Holder said Tuesday that he was “deeply, deeply disappointed” with the Supreme Court’s decision striking down a crucial part of the Voting Rights Act.

“This represents a serious setback for voting rights and has the potential to negatively affect millions of Americans across the country,” he said at a press conference.

“Racial and language minorities face significant voting discrimination in some parts of our country,” he added.
