Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera joined several of his colleagues on Thursday in condemning the antics of anti-Islam activist Pamela Geller after her event was attacked on Sunday in Garland, Texas.
Two gunmen were killed after they opened fire on a security guard at Geller’s event, a cartoon contest handing out $10,000 for the best caricature of the Prophet Muhammad.
“Pamela Geller has the right to voice her hateful ideas, but don’t pretend its about free speech. Its about insulting, taunting and inciting,” Rivera tweeted from his personal account.
Free speech is how Geller and her defenders are justifying the event, slamming “the Left” for kowtowing to Muslim “savages.”
Still, her critics, from liberals, to the mayor of Garland, to a handful of prominent conservatives, aren’t buying it.
Wow. This is like watching a bunch of wild rats crammed into a shoebox turn on one of their own.
Let me give you a scary hint at what we’re thinking, Geraldo. NONE of you care about free speech. Not ONE of you.
What has you breaking out in a cold sweat at night is that you are suspecting you can no longer convince some of us that you DO.
Poor Pam, she gets the ‘mean girl’ treatment, what a shame…
Poor Pam Geller. When you’ve lost Geraldo, your credibility is damaged beyond repair.
I think this is pretty funny. Pammy goes on Fox Not the News, expecting to get a free pass, and the denizens there, terrified they’ll get branded as irresponsible kooks too, turn on her.
The one that DOES surprise me is Franklin Graham. Billy’s boy has been an Islamophobe from WAY back.
How can a person say “I’m a champion of free speech” while simultaneously calling for books to be banned?
