Fox Host To Cruz: If You Block Nominees, Eric Holder Will Stay As AG (VIDEO)

“Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace pointed out to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) that if the GOP blocks all of President Obama’s nominees, Eric Holder will remain Attorney General.

Cruz has been calling for Senate Republicans to not confirm Obama’s nominations, unless they are for important national security positions, over his executive action delaying deportations for undocumented immigrants.

“Are you saying that the Senate should refuse to confirm Loretta Lynch, the president’s new nominee for attorney general, and thereby leave Eric Holder, who you don’t like very much, in that position even longer?” Wallace asked Cruz on Sunday.

“We should use the constitutional checks and balances we have to rein in the executive,” Cruz responded without naming Lynch or Holder by name.

Wallace then asked more directly whether Cruz would block Lynch’s nomination, and again Cruz did not directly answer the question.

“In my view, the majority leader should decline to bring to the floor of the Senate any nomination other than vital national security positions,” the senator said.

Earlier in the interview, Cruz charged that Obama’s executive order amounts to “counterfeiting immigration papers.”

“For 4 to 5 million people here illegally, he’s promising to print up and give out work authorizations — essentially, he’s gotten in the job of counterfeiting immigration papers, because there’s no legal authority to do what he’s doing,” he said.

Cruz is a scary scary man - he is motivated by a fervent deranged ideology - that fundamentally does not square with the majority of the population - yet he is so fixated and driven that, given the opportunity, he would oppressively impose his will upon everyone.

Cruz is typical of the repubs(small R) they can’t give you and answer to a simple yes or no question.
