Did you know that Facebook held a week-long open vote for all users on its new proposed privacy data use policy last week? If not, you’re in the majority. Only 342,632 of the website’s 901 million users, or 0.038 percent, voted on the new changes, Ars Technica reported Friday. That’s far less than the 270 million that Facebook was requiring for the vote to be binding. Now any new changes Facebook makes will go into effect unilaterally.
