Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s (R) gaffe-filled 2012 presidential bid may have cemented his public image once and for all, a former aide to ex-Vice President Dan Quayle told the Los Angeles Times in a story published online Thursday evening.
Quayle, of course, had his own share of missteps and was the butt of many late night jokes — a fate that David Beckwith, who worked with the former vice president, said might be irreversible for Perry.
“Once it happens, it’s almost impossible to reverse,” Beckwith said.
