Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump regrets to inform you that his Friday rally in Virginia has been canceled on account of some inclement weather.

But he wants you to know that he called the whole thing off for your personal safety, even though the event was sure to be a “happening.”

Trump’s campaign said Thursday that the rally at the Wave Convention Center in Virginia Beach was canceled, citing a state of emergency declared ahead of Hurricane Joaquin’s expected arrival on the East Coast.

“While we were expecting 10,000 people based on demand, and it would have been a happening, everyone’s safety is of far more importance to me,” the real estate mogul said in a statement. “We will reschedule the event very soon and I look forward to being there.”
