Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said in a Fox News interview Sunday that GOP rival and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson might have found a way to keep Trump quiet by not attacking the billionaire.
“I was all set to go wild, now I can’t go wild,” Trump said. “I’m actually saying, ‘I wish he had hit me.’ No, he’s very smart. I wish he had hit me.”
Last month, Carson made a comment about Trump’s faith, suggesting it was not an important aspect in the the real estate magnate’s life. Trump fired back by calling Carson “an OK doctor.” Carson quickly walked the comments back and said the media had twisted his words.
Trump said Sunday that he couldn’t attack Carson because he took back the comments.
