Academy Award nominee Diane Lane has been tapped to play Hillary Clinton in a forthcoming miniseries on NBC, the network announced Saturday.
Although it is unclear who will play former President Bill Clinton, Variety reported that “Hillary” will begin in 1998 — right at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal. NBC Entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt said that the miniseries will probably air before the former secretary of state launches an expected White House bid.
