Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won the Democratic primary in Arizona, the Associated Press and CNN projected.

Arizona had more delegates to win than the other two caucusing states combined on Tuesday.

Clinton has been the favored candidate in states with large Hispanic populations, winning them in Florida and Texas. Hispanics account for 22 percent of the state’s eligible voters, according to the Pew Research Center.

Clinton has maintained a double digit lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in Arizona and TPM’s PollTracker Average showed Clinton with 50.2 percent support and Sanders with 42.4 percent support.

  1. It is true the Arizona had more delegates as a state. However, it is also true that when the dust settled at the end of the day Bernie had collected more delegates than did Hillary. It’s time to stop anointing Hillary as God and start acknowledging that she hasn’t won the nomination yet. She had a nice lead at this time a few years ago, but President Obama somehow ended up the nominee…and the President.

This ain’t over yet, so stop making it sound like it is! TPM, you can do better.
