Amid scrutiny of Hillary Clinton’s relationship with her family’s foundation during her tenure as secretary of state, Chelsea Clinton is planning to stay on the board of the Clinton Foundation if her mother is elected president.

Foundation spokesman Craig Minassian confirmed Chelsea Clinton’s plans to the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday. Bill Clinton told donors earlier this week that he would leave the board if his wife is elected.

The former President also announced that the Clinton Foundation would stop accepting foreign and corporate donations and that the Clinton Global Initiative would shutter, even if Hillary Clinton is not elected. But the foundation’s cornerstone project, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, may continue to accept funds from corporate and foreign entities, anonymous foundation officials told the Journal.

The news is unlikely to deter Hillary Clinton’s biggest critics, who accuse her of offering favors to foundation donors during her time at the State Department. Trump has accused Clinton of fostering a “pay-to-play” system.

Bill and Hillary Clinton, along with members of her campaign staff, have maintained that the Clinton Foundation offers life-saving relief around the world, including providing lower cost HIV/AIDS treatment to more than 9 million people.
