Bill Maher’s opening bit on Friday night’s “Real Time With Bill Maher” was centered around former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s recent accusation that President Obama doesn’t love America.
“It’s very personal,” Maher said. “The full quote actually is ‘I do not believe the President loves America. He doesn’t love you, and he doesn’t love me.'”
“Oh poor Rudy,” Maher continued. “He’s got fame. He’s got money. But what he’s never had is the love of a strong black man.”
Maher then revealed that Giuliani had written a book about his desire to be loved by Obama entitled, “Fifty Shades of Black.”
Before reading an excerpt from the book, Maher threw in a barb directed at Obama for his refusal to use the term “Islamic” when discussing terrorism.
“Now this scene takes place in the Oval Office,” Maher said. “Rudy has been summoned there by President Obama to give counsel on combatting Islamic terrorism – oh I’m sorry I mean ‘violent extremism.'”
Then Maher delved into Giuliani’s scintillating “book.”
“‘You don’t love me,’ Rudy cried out, ‘you don’t love any of us,'” Maher read. “‘I don’t have to love you,’ Obama said. ‘I’ve got this!’ The President reached into his pants and pulled out his long, hard, black – veto pen. ‘And I’m going to use it over and over and over.'”

I know Bill Maher is just being glib, but I think that it is safe to say that no love of any kind has ever penetrated Rudolf Giuliani’s cold, shriveled heart.
It’s Rube Goofiani. And Bill, it seems to piss off the terrorists, Fox News, and you, when Obama refuses to claim the terrorists have the legitimacy of representing Islam, therefore recruiting is more difficult for them.
If Obama proclaims they are Islamist, they would use that in recruiting the devout to join a group that actually perverts Islam.
Rudy likes to think America is his bitch, after all didn’t he win 9/11 all by himself. I know, he told us so.
Actually a really funny bit.
I’m guessing I’m missing the humor in this, so go ahead and call me a humorless beeyotch.
The reason I enjoy Jon Stewart, John Oliver, Rachel Maddow and others is that they come across as likeable, decent people.
Bill Maher - not so much.
