At least 7 people were killed and dozens others injured in a barrage of shootings over Father’s Day weekend in Chicago.
The Chicago Tribune reported that those shot included a 15-year-old, who was killed by a police officer Sunday night, and a 16-year-old, who was killed by a gunman as he tried to get away on his bicycle.
The spike in shootings, from Friday afternoon through Sunday, interrupted a lull in homicides that Chicago hasn’t experienced in years, the Tribune reported.
