The White House unveiled a new reconciliation framework this morning, one it says it believes all Democrats will get behind. Biden is pushing both chambers of Congress to pass the bipartisan infrastructure deal alongside the new, $1.75 trillion reconciliation package that the framework details. It remains unclear whether centrist senators Manchin and Sinema are supporting the new framework, and whether House progressives will support the BIF.

The final bill will consist of $5 Chick-Fil-A vouchers for all West Virginians and funding for new highway signs in Arizona with a picture of Sinema on them wearing one of her Halloween-ready outfits.

At this point is better to just call the whole thing off. It’s clear that democrats don’t have the votes for anything, they are only making themselves look inept. Redirect the energy to attacking and punishing republicans.
The Manchinema’s negotiating advantage reminds me of a scene from Bad Santa in which Bernie Mac’s character totally dominated the discussion about how to split ill-gotten goods.
