With control of the Senate still up in the air several days after Election Day, all eyes are on Nevada and Arizona, where the Senate races are both still too close to call.

The races between Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and Republican Adam Laxalt (R) plus Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) and Peter Thiel protégé Blake Masters (R) are crucial to controlling the Senate.

It’s those two elections and the Georgia Senate runoff between Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and Republican nominee Herschel Walker on Dec. 6 that will decide the fate of the upper chamber.

The House is similarly in limbo with the GOP’s below-expectations performance dashing their party’s hopes for quickly seizing control. It’s still very possible that Republicans will take back the chamber, but it now looks like they may only do so by a slim, slim margin.

  1. Gee, I guess there wasn’t a groundswell of unstoppable popular support for the reactionaries and MAGA.
    Hopefully, that dream is gone.
Of course, they’ve still got the machinery that made that illusion possible (although, the “favorite prez’nent” part of it doesn’t seem to be working any more.)
ETA (for what it’s worth:) FRUST!

  2. If the GOP had any idea this would be the outcome they would have gone into the election with their conspiracy narratives turned up to 11.

As it is, they thought they were going to be coronated so they didn’t. I still expect them to make the argument about NV, but if you think about it, this turn of events created a sort of elegant outcome — otherwise the election deniers would have been out in full force.

Georgia again! Let’s hope Reverand Warnock can invoke another miracle.

It would be lovely to sweep the board and be able to tell Joe Manchin to fuck all the way off.

    I’d also like a unicorn.

  5. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) has ordered all counties to begin early voting no later than Nov. 28.

Early voting?!?! Raffensperger must be a Communist.
