Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX), Herman Cain’s host for a health care talk Wednesday on the Hill, told reporters that he had not yet reviewed all of the presidential candidate’s statements on his sexual harassment settlements. But he added a dig on Obama as well, tapping into an increasingly prominent meme on the right suggesting that the President got into Harvard thanks to affirmative action.
“You guys are going to vet this and I have no doubt you’ll look into this as carefully as Obamas grades,” Burgess said.
As documented on TPM, the grades talk — recently name-checked by Rick Perry — has a long history among birther conspiracy theorists.
