Bloomberg just released the first non-tracking poll of the President’s approval since February 10th and it shows he’s more popular than at any point since the end of 2009. Meanwhile, approval of the Republican party is at the lowest point since the survey began in September 2009. Those numbers give some perspective on why it’s simply a losing game for Republicans to think they can pin the blame for the sequester cuts on President Obama.

I just read your post regarding Ted Cruz, wondering what sort of reputation he had over his career. I wrote a profile of him for The Texas Observer last year, and from my interviews I definitely heard from folks that, while they respected his intellect and his lawyering ability, he’s pretty much an arrogant ass.
