After a pretty crappy few days, Democrats awoke to the nice surprise that Mitch McConnell would join Michele Bachmann at a press conference today, along with some tea partiers who were targeted (we are to believe inappropriately) by the IRS.

A new decision just out today from the Third Circuit Court of Appeals also declares an Obama recess appointment to the NLRB invalid, apparently following similar logic the D.C. Circuit used in its decision in January.
For everyone whose political memory goes back 15 years, can we not recognize some similarities to 1998? I don’t want to say that President Obama is going to get impeached. I’d bet against it, mainly because it would be so damaging to Republicans. But the Michele Bachmann episode with Mitch McConnell which Brian flagged here points to a deeper pattern.
