Are They Different?

I’m not sure this is surprising. But it’s fascinating to see an attempt to quantify it. According to a new study authored by a profs at Harvard and London Business School, people who have access to extremely high-end luxury goods and services (limos, private jets, etc.) become more focused on their own self-interest and less inclined to consider the impact of their actions on others. What the authors of the study drew from the data was that this tendency might be a factor in the reckless or self-dealing behavior of extremely highly-paid executives.
