Bring It On!

Democrats are licking their electoral chops, thinking they may be able to pick up a very Republican House seat in New York state. And it’s bringing back memories of the 2009 special election where Dems managed to win a seat in NY-23 after a brutal slugfest between the moderate Republican, Dede Scozzafava, and Tea Partier, Doug Hoffman.

Now you’ve got a conventional Republican, a conventional Democrat and a Tea Partier who’s run previously as both a Republican and a Democrat who’s pulling about a quarter of the vote.

News came out earlier today that Kark Rove-backed American Crossroads was pouring $350,000 in ads for just this week — with more probably to come. And now the DCCC is responding with a $250,000 media buy of their own.

Gonna Be A Rough, Rough Ride
