From Pimphouse to Parents’ House

What a big come-down for high-flying ace investigative reporter James O’Keefe: As a condition of his release from a metro New Orleans jail, the 25-year-old O’Keefe has been ordered by a federal judge to reside with his parents in New Jersey.

Even Bachmann

Things are getting so bad with the national Tea Party convention in Nashville that even Michele Bachmann is considering backing out.

“Maybe I’m Just Dumb”

Mark Halperin’s punditry has to reach a pretty extreme level of inanity before I notice any more. But this response to Obama’s speech last night really moved the needle. What happened to this guy? Video after the jump … Read More

What An Embarrassment

I had no idea our mayor here in New York was such a wimp when it comes to counter-terrorism. Bloomberg has gotten cold feet on trying the 9/11 hijackers here in New York.

Late Update: I’m very curious how much the rising antagonism between the White House and Wall Street played into this decision.

On Second Thought

I just trashed Mayor Bloomberg for seemingly pulling the plug on the 9/11 terror trials. But I just got an email from a longtime reader whose opinion I’ve learned to respect and trust who has a very different take.

Uh-Oh

The House Ethics Committee has released a perfunctory statement from its chair and ranking member announcing that the committee has decided that Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) has not violated any House rules and ending its investigation into whether Stark was properly receiving a tax credit involving a house in Maryland.

That Was Entertaining

Andrew Breitbart just went on David Shuster’s show. And I think Andrew’s new angle is that he’s the only truly objective and disinterested commentator on his own employee’s criminal conduct, which I guess is a point of pride in a way.

This was truly the most unhinged performance I’ve seen since Shuster made a laughing stock of and pretty much put an end to the fifteen minutes of fame of Orly Taitz.

At some level I admire Breitbart’s insistence on turning any question about anything into an attack based on why the federal government hasn’t turned itself over entirely to investigating ACORN. But this performance was definitely in shark-jumping territory. For the ages.

Here’s the video.
