Breaking

Adm. Allen, the Coast Guard Admiral in charge of the Gulf spill operation, just said that as of now there is no oil coming out of the leak that BP attempted to stop yesterday with the “top kill” procedure. BP is saying it looks good so far but they’re not willing to say for sure that that’s true. And even if it is it doesn’t mean it will stay that way. But it seems there are some reasons for optimism.

Nevada GOP Continues to Entertain

Sue Lowden, the chicken-barter-plagued candidate to take on Harry Reid in November, is attacking the new apparent frontrunnner Sharron Angle for alleged ties to Scientology.

An Eye For The Unusual

Zack Roth takes a look at the little-known not-for-profit founded and run by Kentucky GOP Senate candidate Rand Paul for the purpose of issuing board certification to ophthalmologists. Calif Costs A Lotta Money

As we’ve noted, Carly Fiorina has rocketed into a seemingly commanding lead over the last couple weeks in the California GOP senate primary — largely based on a big saturation TV buy, much of which ran while her main competitor, former Rep. Tom Campbell wasn’t on the air at all. But in the final stretch to the June 8th primary, Campbell actually has more money on hand than Fiorina.

Late Update: Or make that, Campbell had more money on hand until Fiorina loaned her campaign another $1.9 million just after the reporting deadline. See our report above for the update.
