You remember Brent Wilkes, right? He’s the San Diego defense/intel contractor who, among his many, many sordid deeds adventures, was wrapped up in the Duke Cunningham bribery scandal. He’s out on bail now while his conviction is appealed and to keep himself occupied he plays poker — professionally.

Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) is taking the FDA’s scientific panel of cancer experts to task for voting 12-1 to drop its endorsement of the breast cancer drug Avastin. Vitter compares what he describes as a “sickening” decision by the FDA to those notorious (and fictitious) death panels.
