CNN is reporting that Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s widow, Katherine Russell, spoke to him by phone after his picture was released by the FBI on the late afternoon of Thursday, April 18th. It’s not clear what she said but it apparently came immediately after the pictures were released.
I continue to be surprised that there’s been so relatively little discussion of her potential role in the case, despite the fact that she was living with her husband while all of this was happening and has refused to speak to the FBI since Tsarnaev’s death.
