We were an NBC Family. I caught a bit of realtime NBC on CSPan the other day – the interregnum between Parkland Hospital and Andrews AFB as Frank McGee, David Brinkley, Martin Agronsky, and of course “Irving R Levine, NBC News Rome” reported it. That was the newscast I watched and seeing it again for the first time 50 years later done blowed my mind. For the first time in 50 years, I recalled the precise video of the events as I watched them, watched them all weekend on NBC.
We didn’t have the internets.
