Consulting giant McKinsey & Company really stepped in it with its report last week finding that President Obama’s health care law would prompt employers to stop providing health insurance to employees in far greater numbers than most other predictions have given.
As Brian Beutler reports, McKinsey’s “report” wasn’t conducted by its own health care experts, wasn’t intended to be peer-reviewed, and has created a rift within the company with some insiders complaining that the methodology used for the report is damaging to McKinsey’s own reputation.
