Barney Tries to Dig Out

Departing Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) tries to take back gift he gave to House Republicans, calling Health Care Reform a “mistake” and a “disaster.”

Stepping aside from the politics of the matter and the atmospherics of this story, to me it seems delusional to assume that the Democrats could have pulled back from the effort and come back later and gotten bits and pieces of reform. Romney?

The presidential horse race polls have bounced around a decent amount this cycle. And the current numbers rely particularly on two generally right-leaning pollsters, Fox and Rasmussen. But Gallup’s numbers out this morning make it look like Mitt Romney may be garnering real advantage from finally (all but officially) clinching the GOP nomination. As I noted earlier, Romney is up by almost four points over the President in the latest TPM PollTracker Average. Read More
