When Do You Call the Cops?

Serious question: how weird/scary does the behavior at the neighbors house have to be until you call the police suspecting someone’s being held captive. From the AP …

One neighbor says a naked woman was seen crawling on her hands and knees in the backyard of the house a few years ago. Another neighbor says he heard pounding on the doors and noticed plastic bags over the windows.

Police showed up at the house both times, the neighbors say, but never went inside.

Breaking: Anthrax Scare at Fed Courthouse Brooklyn

U.S. District Court House for the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn currently on lockdown because of a letter with suspicious white powder and labeled ‘anthrax.’ The quarantine is apparently restricted to the first floor of the building.

It’s important to note that there has been a rash of these mailing since Boston and the ricin mailings incident. To the best of my knowledge, all have been hoaxes or at least non-toxic substances. So bear that in mind.
